A social enterprise is a
business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally
reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community.
Growth in the trading opportunities
available to social enterprises must result in businesses with larger incomes
and bigger surpluses. The resulting
impact will be greater investment in the social objectives at the head of those
enterprises.
Measuring impact
There are a range of tools
available to measure economic, social and environmental impact.
